DESCRIPTION
These snips are very popular in Japan and ours are made in Sanjo, which is a centre for blacksmithery and metal working.
They are carbon steel forged, so although these snips are designed for lighter use, they are robustly built with the ability to cut live material up to 4mm in diameter. It’s also worth noting that Japanese steel is hard and sharp and the snips should not be used to cut wire, plastic or hard woods, because these can damage the blade edges. Cutting diagonally, rather than straight across, causes less stress on your tools.
